For large wood waste, the optimal solution is a slow-speed shredder. The crushing process is handled by a hydraulic pusher plate, which pushes the material toward a rotating shaft. This shaft has interchangeable knives that shred the material by forcing it against a fixed cutting bar. The shredded material then passes through a screen with holes (typically 15–30 mm depending on required fraction).
